The representatives' meeting for the 141st financial year of the Flensburger Arbeiter-Bauverein took place on June 25, 2020, once again in the rooms of the "C.ulturgut" in Weiche.
The special requirements imposed by the coronavirus pandemic also had a significant impact on the course of our annual representatives' meeting this year. The hygiene concept, distancing rules and compulsory masks at the entrance are just the visible effects that coronavirus had on our Representatives' Meeting this year. Unfortunately, the traditional asparagus dinner afterwards also had to be canceled this year. Despite all these problems, however, it was important for us to inform our representatives about the results of the 2019 financial year and to report on the effects of the coronavirus crisis on the FAB to date.
This year, the Association of North German Housing Companies once again issued an unqualified audit opinion for the FAB, confirming the economic stability of our cooperative.
Under the leadership of our Supervisory Board Chairwoman Antje Mannhardt, the representatives present passed the resolutions on the 2019 annual financial statements required by the Articles of Association and the law.
Our CEO Michael Kohnagel was once again able to report consistently positive business figures for our cooperative. The annual result of EUR 2,228,678.24 is at a very high level despite the continued high level of investment in the housing stock. Following the Management Board's presentation, the representatives were called upon to pass resolutions on the dividend and the discharge of the Supervisory Board and Management Board. All resolutions were passed unanimously. Regular elections to the Supervisory Board were also on the agenda this year. Our Supervisory Board members Boy Meesenburg and Rainer Mühe were confirmed in office by the representatives.
Unfortunately, we were unable to honor our long-standing representatives this year. We will duly make up for this at a later date.
