The two Flensburg housing cooperatives SBV and FAB have purchased the AWO building at Schulze-Delitzsch-Straße 21. The premises are home to the Service House, which the AWO will continue to operate as a tenant. The contract was signed on July 1, as the three parties announced in a joint press release.

In connection with the purchase, FAB CEO Michael Kohnagel particularly praised the many years of trusting cooperation with AWO. "The purchase and letting were therefore logical next steps." SBV board member Michael Ebsen also described the purchase and the associated lease to AWO as a sensible addition to the joint portfolio. The AWO's Service House offers "private living characterized by self-determination, participation and help for self-help until the end of life," explained Michael Selck, Managing Director of Arbeiterwohlfahrt Schleswig-Holstein. This range of services will remain unchanged under the new owners.
