We were busy in the spring and carried out extensive modernization work at Junkerhohlweg 32/34. The scaffolding was erected on 6 March and all the work was completed to our complete satisfaction by the end of April. At the top of the list - in the truest sense of the word - was the renewal of the roof surfaces. These were freshly tiled and, together with the historic exterior façade, now create a well-kept overall impression.
However, the changes we made to the rear façade are the most striking. This side has been completely re-insulated and fitted with new windows. This should improve the living climate in the rear rooms in particular - mainly kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms - as the additional insulation reduces the likelihood of mold growth. The craftsmen were also hard at work in the apartments and resealed all the showers.
Last but not least, the inner courtyard was redesigned. The area where the waste garbage cans are located was newly fenced in and planted with pretty plants.
