Successful acquisition of apartments and parking spaces by the FAB

We are delighted to inform our members that we recently acquired 87 apartments and 55 parking spaces - including 38 underground parking spaces - from FIV GmbH. This project represents an important step for our cooperative. The location is urban and yet quiet. Our housing stock in Schulze-Delitzsch-Straße is directly adjacent to the new residential area.

Barrier-free living with a community character

A special feature of the new project is that people of all ages can find a suitable home here. For example, 41 of the 87 apartments are suitable for senior citizens. At the same time, the central residential location in the immediate vicinity of the university is also very attractive for younger target groups. In addition, all residents will have access to a spacious roof terrace for communal use. In future, this space will be both a meeting place and a recreational area.

Construction progress and move-in date

Construction work on the new apartments is in full swing. As things stand, the apartments will be ready for occupancy in the second quarter of 2026. This means that future residents will be able to move into their new home in less than a year.

Marketing launch from January 2026

Marketing of the apartments will officially begin in January 2026 with rents ranging from EUR 6.80 to 14.50/m2 and apartment sizes from 37 m2 to 126 m2. From then on, we will be available to answer any questions about renting, viewings and applications. We recommend that all interested parties obtain information at an early stage and prepare the necessary documents if necessary.

Apartments with subsidized housing - certificate of eligibility required

Of the 87 apartments, a total of 47 are offered under the 1st and 2nd subsidized schemes. For these apartments, proof of a certificate of eligibility for housing is mandatory. The housing entitlement certificate enables households with a low or medium income to move into a subsidized apartment. Conclusion and outlook

With this new project, we are setting an example for affordable, modern and community-oriented living space. The mix of subsidized and privately financed apartments as well as the combination of senior-friendly living and attractive communal areas make this offer special. We are looking forward to the next steps and to welcoming many new neighbors soon.
