The International Day of Cooperatives is celebrated worldwide on July 3. Housing cooperatives throughout Germany, among others, will be flying the flag for the cooperative idea in a joint PR campaign. Under the motto "Society needs cooperatives", members of the Marketinggemeinschaft der Wohnungsbaugenossenschaften Schleswig-Holstein will also be highlighting the aims, ideals and social benefits of the cooperative movement on flags, posters and in other media. International Cooperative Day has traditionally been celebrated on the first Saturday in July since 1923.
In the true north, 18 housing cooperatives have now joined forces to raise awareness of the benefits of cooperative housing and clearly differentiate themselves from other housing providers and investors. We take care of the future of housing and do not focus on the greatest possible profit, but also keep an eye on the needs of a changing society.
