The long wait was over: for the first time since 2019, the summer party could finally take place again at the Weiche retirement home. In the cozy, festively decorated marquee in the courtyard of the facility, 70 residents first met for a coffee break with delicious cakes and tarts.
Afterwards, the Geestland Trio created a fantastic atmosphere with popular songs from the 50s and 60s as well as Bavarian beer tent hits, encouraging the senior citizens to sway and sing along. Encores followed encores, because the mood of the party-goers was so exuberant that the band wanted to continue playing and the performance extended into the evening.
A barbecue buffet with a colorful selection of salads, meat and other delicacies rounded off the day.
