On time as always: the water meters in our apartments are expected to be replaced in early summer to ensure compliance with the statutory calibration period. We will be supported in this work by technicians from the Bremen-based company HKS.
Why is the replacement necessary?
All water meters are subject to the so-called calibration period. This period is six years for cold water meters and five years for hot water meters. This means that at the end of these periods, the water meters must be recalibrated or replaced with new, already calibrated devices. To ensure that our technicians only have to visit the apartments once, we replace the cold and hot water meters at the same time.
When is the standard replacement planned?
The company HKS is expected to start work in our homes in mid-June 2016. Of course, we will inform you of the specific dates in good time with a notice in the relevant stairwells.
By the way: this standard replacement only affects apartments that already have water meters.
