"In various workshops, we dealt intensively with topics such as communication, personality types, project management, creativity and digitalization. Everyone had the opportunity to contribute their opinions and ideas. Everyone had a lot of fun and was often amazed at the number of good and yet so different results.
Another highlight for me was the flying. Every participant had the chance to explore the vastness of the North Sea in a motor glider together with a flight instructor.
Although some participants were afraid of heights, in the end we were able to convince everyone to give it a try. It was a special, unique experience in which many of us surpassed ourselves. As a group, we were very happy with the results we were able to present at the end of the week.
Overall, I learned in this short time how important communication with each other is, that planning is crucial for the success of a project, how valuable it is to get involved in new things and that you can achieve very versatile, effective and qualitative results together as a team.
I am very grateful that I was able to have this experience and be part of this great group. Many thanks to all the speakers, organizers, the Jubi-Juist team and the FAB for giving me this opportunity!"

About the project
The Learning Island initiative is supported by Aareon Deutschland GmbH (software provider) together with the Association of North German Housing Companies (VNW) and the vdw Lower Saxony Bremen. It aims to sensitize participating housing company trainees to exciting areas of responsibility and awaken their creative, methodical and innovative potential.
Selected trainees from the housing industry take part in a one-week summer camp to deal with future-oriented, relevant topics in the industry - in an interdisciplinary manner, using modern working and teaching methods and under qualified guidance.
