The ALBA BERLIN basketball team launched the SPORT VERNETZT initiative.
The aim is to give children access to high-quality exercise and sports activities - regardless of their social background. There is now a new partner for the 2022/23 season: SG Flensburg-Handewitt. Johann Volquardsen, youth coordinator at SG Flensburg-Handewitt, is looking forward to the collaboration: "The vision presented fits in perfectly with our values and our own ideas. [...] SPORT VERNETZT's expertise complements our many years of work with schools and kindergartens in the region perfectly."
Sport and exercise with the professionals
An active and healthy lifestyle - the foundations for this can be laid as early as childhood. SPORT VERNETZT got off to a successful start on 11.10.2023 with a kick-off event for children in the first and second grades at Ramsharde school and pre-school children from Neustadt daycare center in Flensburg. Holger Glandorf, Managing Director of SG, and Lord Mayor Fabian Geyer were among those in attendance. Together, the children were introduced to sport in a playful way and the joy of physical activity was awakened. The SG's youth performance center, the Flensburg Academy, will offer a polysportive ball school program for the participants in the future. The FAB wholeheartedly supports this project and is looking forward to breaking down the barriers to club sport as the initiative progresses
