A great project was created in cooperation with the Beschäftigungs- und Qualifizierungsgesellschaft Flensburg mbH (bequa), where almost every citizen can save money. Under the patronage of the German Caritas Association and with local support from the Jobcenter, the city of Flensburg and other partners of Klimapakt Flensburg e.V., bequa offers free energy advice with the "Stromspar-Check" project. Trained energy-saving specialists come to your home and help you track down your "energy guzzlers" by means of energy-saving checks. All those who receive some form of transfer payment, i.e. recipients of ALG 2, recipients of housing benefit, pensioners with supplementary social assistance (basic income support) and low earners whose income is below the seizure-free limit, can benefit from this service free of charge.
If you are above this income limit, you can alternatively seek advice from the consumer advice center or the municipal utilities - you can save money in any case ("especially in apartments with instantaneous water heaters", says the expert)
Energy-saving check - good for the environment, good for your wallet.
But beware: as is so often the case, there are free riders out there who want to sell you other electricity providers on a commission basis. But this has nothing to do with the energy-saving check!
